What Is Hills Alive?

Hills Alive is a free summer music festival held the third weekend in July in Memorial Park, Rapid City (directions) featuring many of today’s best Christian artists over two days. There is also a kids area with a bouncy village and children’s activity tent. Several delicious food vendors are on site as well as Merchandise vendors and non-profit booths.

This is a family-friendly event and a huge outreach ministry in the area because it’s FREE and it’s in the middle of downtown Rapid City. Hills Alive brings in 20,000-25,000 people each day! Make plans to attend the 37th annual Hills Alive on July 15-16 2023!

What is Hills Alive?

Hills Alive is a free summer music festival held the third weekend in July in Memorial Park, Rapid City (directions) featuring some of the best Christian artists over two days. There is also a kids area with bouncy village and children's activity tent. Several delicious food vendors are on site, as well as Merchandise vendors and non-profit booths. Admission

Hills Alive is free to attend! There will be a free-will offering taken for those who wish to support the festival.

Parking

Parking will be available on the west side of the Civic Center, at Central High School, and in the public parking lot directly across Fifth Street. Please be careful while crossing busy streets.

What To Bring

- Lawn Chair/Blanket
- Plenty of Water
- Sunscreen
- All Your Friends!
- Extra cash for the offering, food and shopping

What NOT to Bring

- Video Cameras, due to copyright laws and artist’s requests.
- Tents or umbrellas: Limited space at the back of the park will be available for tents and umbrellas. Please look for signage that indicates where they are allowed.
- No Tarps. You may bring blankets to sit on but there will be no tarps allowed on the lawn due to the damage it causes to the park.
- NO PETS. Out of consideration for other attendees and the safety of your pets, please leave your pets at home or with a friend. If you need to bring your pet with you to Rapid City, please check into local pet boarding options in the area.

First Aid

Professional First Aid Service will be available all throughout the festival. Please note: KSLT, and Hills Alive do not accept any responsibility prior to, during, or after the festival for any personal injury.

Merchandise

Most Hills Alive artists will be selling CDs and T-shirts. Along with that there will be plenty of merchandise booths selling a variety of other merchandise including festival t-shirts.

Personal Property

The lost and found will be located in the information booth. KSLT and Hills Alive do not accept any responsibility prior to, during, or after the festival for the loss or damage of any personal property.
